At AZS, we love silly pictures and thought that a snow-theme would be perfect for a photo contest.  Do you have pictures of a snowball fight, a crazy looking snowman or snow-sculpture?  Perhaps a pet that got caught in a drift or a child that can’t move in their snowsuit?

Inspire 'Lil Future Photographers for the Holidays!

At AZS, we love seeing children at weddings and other events taking pictures and experiencing the wonders of photography.  “Through a child’s eyes”, especially through the lens of a camera can produce some very creative photographs.  It also gives children an opportunity to look at the world in a different way.

Sure, they may start with pictures of feet, a light fixture or perhaps their favorite toy.....but given time and experience kids can learn how to have that “photographic eye”.  Besides getting enjoyment from snapping photos, they can also gain a feeling of importance; being more “grown up” by having a camera in-hand and free reign.

With the dawn and development of digital cameras, especially “kid-tough” models, the expense of the past of letting them go through rolls upon rolls of film and paying for processing (only to get pictures of the family dog's tail or what the inside of your ear looks like....) no longer applies here.  Photos can be downloaded, reviewed, (...deleted...) or kept and made into albums, framable art for their room or as gifts for others.  Parents, family or friends can view the pictures, give creative direction and instill a sense of pride and accomplishment in the child.

With the many makes and models of cameras for kids on the market today we think that it is a great gift for the holidays, or any occasion.  

There's also an upside for adults:  perhaps they will stop asking to borrow your phone (or your expensive camera) to take pictures!

Melinda and Anthony

Getting Married: November 24, 2012

Melinda and Anthony were a couple just like any other couple; excited for their engagement and life together. So much changed, when suddenly took in 3 young kids for a family member who could no longer take care of her children. With kindergarten starting, and even serious medical conditions to attend to, planning a wedding seemed nearly impossible. Melinda and Anthony put their lives on hold to become instant parents. Melinda had to quit her job and put off school to take care of their youngest health and hospital needs, while Anthony continued his career working with disabled adults.

Tara and Jessie

Getting Married: May 11, 2013

Tara and Jessie have had to overcome so many obstacles to get to this point and finally start planning their wedding. They met almost ten years ago and have overcome many obstacles since then. At a very young age they both lost their fathers and had to help out much more than any normal high school kids. Throughout their relationship they were blessed with two wonderful children; Jayden and Dylan. After many years of taking care of their families Jessie decided it was time they did something for themselves and get married. He proposed to Tara without a ring since they could not afford one at the time. But little did she know that during our engagement photo shoot he was able to present her with the ring of her dreams. Dani and Gary

Getting Married: November 2, 2013

Every love story is unique and this is certainly the case for Dani and Gary. They met about ten years ago in high school but never really got to know each other. After high school they both went their separate ways and it wasn’t until years later that their paths crossed again. They started talking and after only 1 date they were engaged. Yes, that’s right only 1 date! They consider themselves true sole mates. Ever since then they have been saving for their big day. They have both taken on second jobs to pay for the wedding expenses and decided to move in with Gary’s parents to help save for their big day.

    Now men, you wouldn’t understand, but women on the other hand. You know what a pain it is not to sink their brand new high heels into the grass and dirt. Not only is it irritating but those brand new high heels that you fell in love with as soon as you put them on, well they now have dirt up to your heel.  

This idea isnt just amazing it's genius!  not only does it make your bridesmaids cofortable, but also what a gorgeous picture and a great way to remeber your special day!              

    On your big day the last thing you want is to remember dirt on your shoes, buying heel stopper’s not only will keep your shoes clean but also when it comes to pictures they will be gorgeous just like you bought them. Maybe you want to show your shoes off in some pictures now you don’t have to worry about a thing, but looking gorgeous on your special day and letting the picture capture your moment!

For The Love of Photography

It's about that time again:

Once a year Anthony and I embark on our "Love for Photography Vacation". After another year of weddings and portraits we always take time to regroup and get back to our roots. Our roots of basic love of everyday photography.

In 2010 we set off to Alaska to photograph the beautiful scenery and amazing wildlife.

In 2011 we traveled over sees to France, Italy, Barcelona, Croatia to photograph the European lifestyle.

And this year we have decided to head out west to Arizona. My first trip ever to the Grand Canyon! We leave in just a few short days and we are looking forward to once again sharing our photos with all of you.

Don't Be Shy Mom-To-Be!

There‘s nothing like capturing the miracle of pregnancy than with a maternity portrait session. Our maternity photographs are artfully done in our Sparta portrait studio or on location in a private natural setting. We suggest that pregnant women have their photographs taken six to eight weeks prior to their due date, although we have taken bump photos all the way up to 40 weeks. When you call to schedule your maternity portrait session, Sarah will suggest appropriate maternity clothing for you to wear during your pregnancy portrait session. In addition, we have a collection of fabric wraps that work well for pregnancy photos too. This photo shoot is something you will have forever and a memory you will always treasure.  Photo shoots range from a little to a lot of clothing and are always altered to match your comfort level. Your private bump session will have you leaving feeling more beautiful than you could ever imagine.

Worried about stretch marks? No worries our team has many ways to hide little imperfections!

As spring get's closer we get into Baby Season!! I wanted to share a few of my favorite baby photos for all of you to enjoy. We at AZS love Baby's and our new studio allows us to do so much more during our photoshoots.

AZS Tip: By bringing your child in for a professional photoshoot when their under 6 months it makes it MUCH easier for them to sit through a photohoot when they get older. Children grow so quick, so make sure you get as many photo memories as possible.
